Upgrading mountain bike to Shimano SLX 10 speed parts...?

I have a '11 Trek 4500 hardtail and it has very entry level drivetrain parts and I would like to upgrade it to the Shimano SLX group (excluding the breaks for now). I just want to give myself an idea of how much the parts will cost.

Crankset:$160
Chain: $26
Shifters: $80
Cassete: $71
Rear Derailleur: $65
Front Derailleur: $40
Realizing that it would have been cheaper just to get a slightly higher end bike instead of spending at least $450

Where Can I find replacement parts for a 24 speed bike?

all the websites I go to, only go up to 9-10 speed for replacement parts

what would be suitable - need a rear derailleur and chain for a mountain bike! :)

Automobile aficionados can revel in 10 days of races, rides, shows and displays starting Friday at the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival — which includes the signature 10th Annual Concours d’Elegance.

BMW, selected as the “Honored Marque” of the festival, will be represented in all four main events: the Savannah Speed Classic, the Car Club Jamboree, the Motoring Midway and the Concours d’Elegance.

“Every year we pick a vehicle or manufacturer to be what’s called the honored marque, which is featured throughout the festival,” said Phil Caposella, board chairman of the Concours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival.

“BMW is one of three sponsors — along with Hargray and Adventure Radio — that have been with us from the start and have remained all 10 years,” said Caposella, who worked with BMW North America for 30 years.

“Of the 23 concours classes, four of those will be BMW,” he said. They include BMW Pre-War; BMW Post War (up to 1972); BMW Race Cars and BMW Motorcycles.
